Pavlova Cake
Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Whipped cream
- Fresh fruit to garnish
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Using mixer, mix egg whites and sugar for 10-15 minutes or until thick and glossy.
- Mix vinegar, vanilla, and cornflour together.
- Add to egg white mixture and continue to beat for another 5 minutes.
- Line oven tray with baking paper.
- Spread mixture evenly on tray in a circle, keeping at least 1 inch away from the edges.
- Place tray in preheated oven, then turn oven down to 210F. Bake for 1 hour.
- Turn oven off, crack oven door open, leave until cool.
- Move to serving plate, decorate with whipped cream and fresh fruit.
